Acceptable Use & Abuse Policy

toui.io is a single domain shared by every account. Every short link borrows the same domain reputation, and keeping that reputation clean is what keeps every account's links delivering on social platforms and messaging apps. This page explains what we do not carry, how enforcement works, and how to reach us.

What we do not carry

  • Malware, phishing sites, or other harmful content
  • Content that exploits children, or intimate images shared without the subject's consent — always reported to the relevant authorities
  • Pornographic content, or links that funnel traffic to it
  • Spam and unsolicited bulk marketing
  • Content that infringes intellectual property rights
  • Circumventing the service's limits or security mechanisms, including using multiple accounts to obtain more than a single account may
  • Any activity that violates applicable law

How enforcement works

The content a short link points to lives on someone else's server — we are the pointer, not the publisher, and we do not review every destination. Enforcement is driven by signals: user reports, flags from third-party safety services (such as Google Safe Browsing), notices from platforms or authorities, and our own monitoring for abnormal patterns.

  • Whether to act in a given case is at our sole discretion
  • We start at the link, not the account — deactivated links return 404, and the account stays open unless the pattern repeats
  • Account holders receive an email notice with a reply channel; if you believe we got it wrong, reply to that notice and a mistaken action is reversed quickly
  • Child-safety cases are handled ahead of everything else and referred to qualified organizations (in Taiwan, iWIN)

Anonymous links

Links created without an account live on a separate domain, touitry.link, and expire after 30 days.

How to report

Include the short link and what you observed. We handle reports as quickly as we can, and child-safety reports come first.
